Ken Gunther has worked as an educator for over three decades in a career that spans teaching computer programming, math and science as well as leadership roles as technology coordinator, IB Diploma Coordinator and head of school. While he and his wife, Charmaine, raised their three children, they worked at schools in Kenya, South Korea and most recently Ethiopia.
Ken finds inspiration to learn and how to better communicate understandings to young learners in his ongoing relationship with Christ. He enjoys working with students of all ability levels and places a high importance on ensuring larger assignments are appropriately challenging for all learners. Ken has helped numerous students succeed in their pursuit of a career in Computer Science. His classes weave together learning activities with direct instruction, sharing of knowledge and independent learning.
Ken has a degree in Biology from Pepperdine University and a Masters Degree of Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois, Ubana-Champaign.
It is Ken’s hope that he can inspire students to find joy in learning and use their knowledge to reach their full potential in Christ.
