Advanced Art Media Exploration – Ind. Study
This Independent Study opportunity is for those art students who wish to focus on independent, advanced work in the media of their choosing.
Instructor will offer guidance and recommendations to determine which topic or media will be in focus for the semester. Ideas, resources, schedules, and goals will be discussed upon initial meeting. Students will then be responsible to complete on-going simple exercises and 6 major art pieces during the course of the semester. Students will be asked to evaluate their own work using a rubric provided by the instructor. The instructor will provide feedback regarding technique, composition, and visual impact. Students and instructor will meet 3-5 times per semester via live video chat. All additional communication will occur via email.
Students should have taken at least one previous formal art class. It is recommended that students be in 9th grade and up, or have completed an art or graphic design class through Excelsior Classes
