Nature Journaling Club

Do you know the difference between a maple and an oak leaf? What might you find in a shovelful of soil? Do you need to destress and spend more time outdoors? This nature journaling club will give strategies and inspiration for exploring, learning, and recording what you discover about the natural world in your local area.  Journaling methods and strategies will be demonstrated, students will share their experiences and work with each other, and we’ll enjoy some time to rest and let curiosity lead the way.

This club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. The fall semester runs September 9, 2021 through December 9, 2021. The spring semester runs January 13, 2022 through April 28, 2022. Registrations are accepted throughout the year.

If you are not logged into your account, you may see a requirement for a 30% deposit to register; however, there is no charge to reserve for a club.

A sketchbook or journal with unlined pages.  The teacher will suggest many other supplies you may wish to use, but there is much flexibility based on interest and what you have available.

Jenny Cutler graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Education, and in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education, both from Eastern University.  Jenny taught in both private and public schools until she had her first child and decided to stay home with him.  She ran a tutoring business during her first few years as a stay at home parent but found teaching online to be an ideal fit for her, and she made the switch in 2014. Besides teaching online, Jenny serves as the children’s ministry director at her church and is a volunteer teacher at the local homeschool co-op her children attend.
