Excelsior Classes partners with families who participate in Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and other school-choice funding programs. These programs allow families to use approved educational funds for online courses, tutoring, and other instructional services.

Because program rules vary by state, Excelsior keeps the process simple, transparent, and consistent for all families.

Two Simple Paths for ESA Families

Excelsior Classes supports families using ESA funds in two ways, depending on the requirements of each state program:

• Reimbursement Option – Families pay Excelsior directly and later request reimbursement from their ESA provider. This option provides a confirmed and fully held seat.
• ESA Invoice Submission Option – In states that permit direct vendor payment, families may request Excelsior invoices for submission through their ESA portal. These enrollments are provisionally held until payment is received.

Our team can also help you understand any state-specific requirements for using your funds with Excelsior—for example, some states may require an annual standardized exam or additional documentation before funds can be approved.

Important Registration Note
Families planning to use ESA or state-funded tuition should complete the ESA enrollment process before registering for classes and should not use the self-pay registration procedure. Registrations completed through the standard self-pay process will require additional steps and fees to transition to ESA enrollment.

Participating Programs

Excelsior Classes is approved to serve families as an educational service provider through Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and other state-funded education programs. Approval status and enrollment pathways vary by state and program.

We are currently able to support families through the following programs:

• Arizona – Empowerment Scholarship Account
• Arkansas – Education Freedom Account
• Florida – Step Up for Students (EMA)
• New Hampshire – Children’s Scholarship Fund
• Texas – Education Freedom Account
• Utah – Utah Fits All
