Spanish I – Group 2
Maybe you have an interest in learning a new language or maybe you’re just trying to fulfill your foreign language high school requirement. Why not choose to study Spanish? Spanish is spoken in over 20 countries and it is the second most commonly spoken language in the United States.
Spanish I is an introductory course to the Spanish language and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Students will learn letters, numbers pronunciation, verbs in the present and past, adjective-noun agreement, articles, pronouns, prepositions, affirmative and negative words, commands and lots of vocabulary. Emphasis will be placed on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
This will be a very interactive class. Students will be expected to come to class prepared with a headset microphone and ready to participate. Besides speaking, a variety of activities will be used during class to engage students. Bible Scripture recitation will be part of our weekly classes. Weekly homework, including tests, will be assigned.
