Spanish II – GROUP 1
After beginning with a review, Spanish II continues to build upon the concepts learned in Spanish I. The indicative (like the preterite, imperfect and future), imperative and subjunctive moods will be explored. Pronouns, adjectives, affirmative/negative words, comparatives/superlatives, por/para and more vocabulary will also be studied. Students will continue to explore the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Emphasis will be placed on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
This will be a very interactive class. Students will be expected to come to class prepared with a headset microphone and ready to participate. Besides speaking, a variety of activities will be used during class to engage students. Bible Scripture recitation will be part of our weekly classes. Weekly homework, including tests, will be assigned.

Short story for spring semester, TBD
Diana Lamolinara is a native speaker of Spanish who has lived in the Spanish-speaking countries of Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Spain. She also lived several years in Italy, where she studied Italian. Mrs. Lamolinara has a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Foreign Language Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. Diana has been teaching Spanish to students at all levels from Pre School to AP for over 25 years. She is a former homeschooling mom. In addition to teaching, Diana enjoys reading, exercising, cooking and taking long walks with her dog in the woods. The Lord has blessed Diana and her husband with four children and three grandchildren.
